On
Tuesday, January 8th, the Hampshire House presented a check for
$10,000 to the Jimmy Fund.
The
money was raised through our Cheers for Children charity. Most of it was raised the night of our
Hampshire House Anniversary event on November 8th 2012. This event we held in celebration of 30 years
since the airing of the first episode of “Cheers.” It also celebrated 101 years of the Thayer
Mansion at 84 Beacon Street, 33 years of Cheers for Children fundraising
activity, 43 years since the opening of the Bull & Finch Pub (now known as
Cheers), 43 years of ownership by Thomas A. Kershaw of the Hampshire House
Corporation, 15 years since the opening of 75 Chestnut, and the opening of our
newest location, 75 on Liberty Wharf.
